DVIR templates define the inspection items that drivers must review during a vehicle inspection. In the Fleet Portal, templates help standardize inspections across the fleet and ensure compliance with required safety checks.

Accessing DVIR Templates
- In the Fleet Portal, go to the Maintenance section.
- Select DVIR Templates.
- The page has two tabs:
-
Templates: Displays all available templates.
-
Assignments: Used to assign templates to vehicles, see Assigning Vehicles to DVIR Templates for details.
Templates Table
The table displays all DVIR templates, allowing you to efficiently organize and access the details. It supports downloading, sorting, filtering, resizing columns, and other customization options. For a complete guide, refer to the article How to Use Table Options.

Default DVIR Template
- Once the DVIR feature is enabled, a Default Template is automatically added to the Templates tab, with 15 predefined defects.
- This template contains a predefined list of defects that is the minimum inspection requirement under the law.
- By default, images and comments are not required when drivers report a defect, but these requirements can be adjusted in the settings page, see Enabling DVIR and Configuring Settings.
Note
The list of defects in the Default Template cannot be modified or configured.
Note
Default template configurations (such as requiring comments, images, walk-around
photos, or minimum inspection time) are set on the Compliance tab in the
main DVIR settings. See
Enabling DVIR and Configuring Settings for details.
