Standby mode is designed to conserve power while keeping the device ready for quick activation. This mode applies to both the LytxOne Gateway (LX1-G) and LytxOne Camera (LX1-C), allowing efficient operation without unnecessary power consumption.
What is Standby Mode?
Standby mode is a low-power state that the system enters when the vehicle is turned off or when no activity is detected. While in this state, the system minimizes energy usage but stays connected and ready to resume full operation as soon as it's needed.
How Standby Mode Works
Entering Standby Mode
The system enters standby mode once the configured Time to Standby timer elapses (10 minutes by default, configurable), the vehicle is powered off, stationary, and shows no GPS movement.
While in standby mode, if battery voltage drops below 11.5V for 30 seconds, the device stays in standby.
Exiting Standby Mode
The system exits standby mode and resumes full operation when it detects a button press, a wake-up message from the cloud, movement detected by the accelerometer, a rise in vehicle battery voltage above 11.5V, or activation of the hardwired ignition cable.
Indicators
The Power LED on the Gateway stays green, showing the device remains powered on. The GNSS and CELL LEDs turn off to show the system is in a low-power state.
Configurable Settings
You can configure the Time to Standby duration to suit your operational needs (minimum 5 minutes, no maximum, default 10 minutes). For more details, see Understanding Assets Configuration.
