RP1226 14-Pin Y-Cable (HCA-RP1226Y-GEN-01)

Use this workflow to connect the LytxOne Gateway (LX1-G) to your vehicle using the RP1226 14-Pin Y-Cable (HCA-RP1226Y-GEN-01). This cable has no Molex connector of its own, it's paired with the standard RP1226 Install Kit cable (HCA-RP1226-01), which carries the connection from the splitter to the Gateway.

  3. RP1226 Install Kit cable (HCA-RP1226-01)

HCA-RP1226Y-GEN-01 Cable Components

 

Component Description
14-pin connector Plugs into the vehicle's RP1226 port
Split connector (Gateway) Connects to the standard RP1226 Install Kit cable, which runs to the Gateway
Split connector (existing device) Available for an existing device sharing the port, if needed

Note
This cable must pass through all 14 pins to both split connectors. Some vehicles have more than one RP1226 connector, confirm you're splitting the primary connector intended for telematics devices, not a secondary connector with limited data access.

Connect the Cable

  1. With the engine off, locate the vehicle's RP1226 port, typically at the driver's side kick panel or center console. Remove any trim panel covering it if needed.
  2. If an existing device is already connected, disconnect it.
  3. Connect the Y-cable's single connector to the vehicle's RP1226 port. Push firmly until fully seated.
  4. If applicable, reconnect the existing device to one of the Y-cable's split connectors.

  5. Connect the standard RP1226 Install Kit cable to the Y-cable's remaining split connector.

  6. Connect the other end of the RP1226 Install Kit cable (the Molex connector) to the PWR/OBD port on the LytxOne Gateway.
  7. Mount the Gateway in a safe, hidden location under the dash, avoiding areas that may heat up or shift while driving.

To finish the installation, continue to Step 3: Mount & Wire to secure the Gateway and mount the Camera, then Step 4: Activate, Verify, Complete to activate and verify the installation.
