New: Driver Self-Reviews for Coaches
Coaches can see each driver's self-review of an event: the driver's Reflection, their commitment, and their Safety Check result. Self-reviews appear in event details in the Driver Safety Library and the Safety Center, and under Driver Self-Reviews (Last 180 Days) when a coach opens a Due for Coaching task.
A driver's Coaching History tab lists their Driver App self-reviews alongside coaching sessions, with "Self (driver app)" shown as the coach. On the driver's Events tab, events the driver reviewed themselves show Coached (self). Answers are shown in the coach's language.
Self-review responses are provided by drivers and are intended to support coaching. Fleets are responsible for how this data is used, including compliance with applicable employment, collective bargaining and privacy obligations.
Note: Self-reviews appear once drivers begin using the Driver App Safety hub, and require the DSP and Driver Safety Hub features for the fleet. The Safety hub is described in the Driver App Release Notes for October 21, 2026.
New: Power and Ignition Alerts
Alert rules can notify when a device powers on or off, and when the vehicle's ignition turns on or off. Power alerts do not fire on ordinary device restarts. Power On alert emails include the asset's time zone and the vehicle's last known coordinates.
Power and Ignition are selected in the Alert Configuration step of the alert wizard.
Alerts and notifications depend on device connectivity, cellular coverage and email delivery, and should not be relied on as the sole means of detecting an event or condition.
New: Custom Detection BETA Release
An alert rule can ask a yes/no question about the photo captured when the alert fires, and the answer can decide whether anyone is notified. A Test button and a Take photo and ask option let a fleet try the question before saving. The answer appears in the alert email and in the AI Answer column on the Triggered Alerts tab.
The If the AI cannot answer setting controls what happens when no answer is available. Power Off takes no photo, so Power Off alerts are marked "Not answered - No photo is taken for this event" and follow that setting. The AI Check step is offered only for alert types that capture a photo. When an alert arrives late, its photo and AI answer come from the time of the event.
AI answers are generated automatically from a single photo and may be incomplete or inaccurate. When an AI answer is used to decide whether to notify, some alerts will not be sent. Fleets are responsible for deciding which alerts may be filtered this way and should not rely on AI-filtered alerts as the sole means of detecting an event or condition.
Note: AI Check requires the Alert AI Check feature for the fleet and is currently in BETA
New: Trip, Defect and Inspection Monitoring
Trip alerts notify when a vehicle starts or ends a trip. The Only when no inspection was done today option limits the alert to vehicles with no inspection that day. Any inspection that day counts, pre-trip or post-trip, and the check runs when the vehicle starts moving.
Defect alerts notify when a driver's inspection reports new defects, and follow the rule's vehicles, tags and quiet hours.
A Vehicle Inspections Today dashboard widget counts the vehicles driven today that were inspected, inspected late, or not inspected. An inspection is counted as late when the first inspection of the day comes after the vehicle's first trip of the day has ended.
The widget and alerts are aids to a fleet's own inspection program. They do not determine whether an inspection meets any regulatory requirement. Fleets are responsible for their own inspection, repair and recordkeeping obligations.
New: Linked Service for Inspection Defects
From an open inspection defect, a manager can link an existing maintenance schedule or create a one-time service task. Linked work appears in a new Linked Service column on the Defects tab.
Logging the linked service marks the defect "service done" and prompts the manager to certify it. The defect stays open until it is certified. One-time service tasks are labelled "(One-time)" on the Upcoming tab, with the vehicle shown as "Due now".
Logging service does not certify a repair. Fleets are responsible for reviewing and certifying defect repairs, and for meeting their own inspection, repair and recordkeeping obligations.
Note: Linked Service requires the DVIR feature for the fleet.
New: Disable and Enable User Access
Admins can turn a user's access off and back on with Disable Access and Enable Access from the row menu on the Users tab in Settings. The user's role, tags and history are kept while access is off. Admins cannot disable their own account.
The Users list shows Status and Last Active columns, and the Drivers list shows each driver's Login Date and Last Active time.
Users whose access is disabled or who are removed do not receive alert emails. They are labelled "(disabled)" or "(removed)" in the alert wizard's recipient list so admins can clear them.
New: User Management Within Tags
Custom roles can include Create & manage users within own tags, which lets a tagged user add, edit and remove users who share their tags. They can assign only roles with permissions no greater than their own. Password resets and bulk user import remain admin-only.
The permission is set on the Roles & Permissions tab in Settings, under the Users permission.
Note: Creating, editing and removing users is available to admins and to custom roles granted this permission.
New: Speeding Report Max Speed and Duration
The Speeding Report shows Max Speed and Duration for "Speeding" and "Speeding over posted limit" events. Both are filled in once the speeding episode ends, and are included in the CSV download and in scheduled reports.
Recorded Speed, Speed Limit, Over By, Max Speed and Duration can be filtered and sorted. The CSV download uses the same filters and sort order. The same fields, filters and sorts are available on GET /safety/v2 in the Public API.
For "Speeding" events, Duration is measured from 10 seconds before the event and may differ slightly from the time the vehicle spent over the threshold. Posted speed limits are derived from third-party road data, which may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate for a given location. Fleets are responsible for how speed data is used, including compliance with applicable employment, collective bargaining and privacy obligations.
New: Dispatch Work Schedules and Driver Availability
The Work schedules page in Dispatch sets fleet working hours: a fleet default, which starts as Monday to Friday 9 to 5, plus one schedule per tag, with warnings when schedules conflict. Every column can be filtered.
The Drivers list has an Availability column and a Manage availability action for setting each driver's hours per day: inherit the schedule, set custom hours, or mark the driver off.
Note: Dispatch is enabled per fleet. Users can view Dispatch and Managers can manage it without a custom role.
New: Drivers Covered in Coach Assignments
On Coach Assignments, selecting a tag's # Drivers Covered count lists the drivers in that tag and shows whether this coach, another coach, or no one coaches each driver. The list supports search and paging. Coach Assignments also lists coaches whose access is disabled or who have been removed, and these coaches are not offered for new coaching tasks.
Note: The Drivers Covered count includes only active drivers in the fleet, so some counts may read lower than before.
New: Audit Log for Event Behavior Edits
The Audit Log records who added, removed, overrode or restored the behaviors on a safety event. Filter by Category Safety and select Edited event behaviors. The Audit Log is available to admins.
Note: For edits made before this release, the entry shows the event's behavior list after each edit.
Improvement: Alert Email Delivery
Repeated alerts from a vehicle, and events replayed when a vehicle comes back online, are grouped into one summary email. Each person receives at most one alert email every 5 minutes.
Each grouped line in a summary email, such as "×192 more", links to the Triggered Alerts tab, which lists the original alert and every repeat grouped with it under a Burst Id. A send that is interrupted shows "Send interrupted" in the Sent column. Cancelling an alert edit discards the changes.
Note: Fleets should expect fewer alert emails following this release. Every alert remains listed on the Triggered Alerts tab.
Improvement: Posted Speed Limits and Speeding Alerts
Posted Speed uses the vehicle's live speed, so events start when the vehicle crosses the threshold and end when the driver slows down. The photo, clip and recorded speed reflect the speeding itself.
Speeding (Over posted limit) supports the driver alert ladder and Allow correction, so a fleet can set how many in-cab alerts a driver receives, and how long they have to slow down, before an event is recorded. In-cab alerts repeat while the driver is speeding, play whenever the in-cab driver alert is on, and use a tone in fleets set to Tone audio mode.
Where a rural road has no posted limit, Posted Speed applies the state's legal open-road limit for that road. Where state law sets different limits by road type, the higher limit applies. Rural state routes, Texas Farm-to-Market roads (70 mph), and unincorporated communities in North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa and Washington follow state law. Posted Speed does not raise events on rural unclassified roads.
Posted speed limits are derived from third-party road data, which may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate for a given location. Events are indicative and should be verified before being relied on. Fleets are responsible for how speed data is used, including compliance with applicable employment, collective bargaining and privacy obligations.
Note: Fleets should expect a change in posted-speed event volume: more events for vehicles slightly over the threshold, and fewer on rural roads without a posted limit. Updated limits reach each road within four days of the release. Events recorded before the release are unchanged.
Improvement: Coaching Workflow Tag Overrides
Coaching Workflow shows each tag's behaviors as they apply: from the fleet baseline, unless the tag overrides a behavior. Saving a tag stores only the behaviors that were changed, so later changes to the fleet baseline apply to every behavior the tag has not overridden. The scope picker marks only tags that have overrides.
Note: Fleets that use per-tag coaching settings should review each tag in Driver Safety → Settings → Coaching Workflow to confirm its overrides.
Improvement: Password Reset Signs Out All Sessions
Resetting a user's or driver's password signs them out of every browser and device. Drivers are signed out of the Driver App within 45 minutes.
Note: After a password reset, drivers must sign in to the Driver App again to view or change their logs.
Improvement: Media Library and Health Tags
Media Library has a Tags column showing each vehicle's and driver's tags, with a tag filter. Requesting media from an offline vehicle shows "Device not active". Downloads that stall time out and save as separate files.
Health Overview and Health History have a Tags column that can be filtered and sorted, and the Health Overview CSV includes tags.
Note: Media Library requires the Media Library feature for the fleet.
Improvement: Scheduled Reports
Scheduled reports can cover Yesterday, so a daily email holds only the previous day in the fleet's time zone. The option is under Reported Date Range when adding or editing a schedule.
Improvement: Spanish and French
More of the App portal displays in Spanish and French, including filters, saved views, Trips, map trip playback, date pickers, SD card dialogs, maintenance widgets, event notes, the event panel, live view, Media Library downloads, and the Users, Safety, Cameras, Fleet Settings, Event Generation and Compliance tabs in Settings. Device setting descriptions and auxiliary camera names follow the selected language.
The language is set in Preferences from the account menu.
Translations are provided for convenience. Where translated text and the English text differ, the English text governs.
Improvement: Date, Time and Time Zone Display
Date pickers and table date filters use the fleet's date format, such as DD.MM.YYYY. Fleets on a 24-hour clock see 24-hour times on map event and idling markers, the time-to-collision chart and scheduled reports. The "Asset" time zone on a vehicle's Trips shows a time zone abbreviation in all zones, including St. John's.
Improvement: Event and Behavior Names
Driver Safety task screens and confirmations, the driver profile Events table, trip map tooltips, triggered alert media and the Drivers Report and Tag Report show readable names, such as "Possible Collision", "Drinking Or Eating" and "Seat Belt".
Note: Drivers Report and Tag Report CSV downloads use the readable names. Update any process that reads these files.
Improvement: Asset Activation
An asset added without a name is named after the last 9 digits of its IMEI. The Activate Assets instructions describe this in English, Spanish and French.
Note: Assets added without a name receive an IMEI-based name. Rename them in Map → Assets if needed.
Improvement: Public API
The bulk endpoint for assigning a driver to unassigned safety events, PATCH /safety/bulk-assign-driver, is documented for partners and accepts up to 1,000 events per call. The documentation also shows how to list the same queue as the DSP Assign Drivers page.
Admin and Manager API keys can set and read a driver's license number and state on /drivers and /drivers/{entityId}. The API documentation states which roles the license fields require.
Bug Fixes
Map, Assets and Trips
- The Assets list, vehicle pickers and the Assets CSV download show each vehicle once, including vehicles with several tags, and load faster in large fleets.
- Trips shows results when first opened. "Past 24 hrs" covers the last 24 hours, and saved-view presets such as Today use the fleet's time zone on every page.
- Trips, the Activity Report and the Safety Events count load reliably, and Trips loads faster for fleets with tagged vehicles.
- The vehicle details panel shows a camera area only for devices with a camera.
- Installation stays on Add Asset Details until the asset is activated.
- Installers can select a tag on Add Asset Details.
Maintenance
- The vehicle step of Create Schedule and Edit Schedule shows vehicle names, and every vehicle picked is saved with the schedule. If a picked vehicle can't be loaded, the dialog says so and keeps Next disabled until it is reselected.
- Closing Create Schedule clears it, so it opens empty next time.
- Fault Codes and its CSV download list each fault code once across pages.
- The Update Defect dialog accepts JPG, PNG and PDF files and flags other file types when they are attached.
Drivers
- The Drivers and Users lists show a full page of people, and their CSV downloads include each person once.
- Driver Check-Ins, its CSV download and the scheduled Driver Checkin Report list each check-in once across pages.
- Re-importing a drivers CSV updates the existing drivers.
- Add Multiple Drivers flags first and last names that are too short or too long when the file is checked.
Safety and Driver Safety
- Vehicles in a Settings Profile follow that profile's Posted Speed and media settings, and profile and tag changes take effect immediately.
- The Safety tab shows Tone as the audio mode for fleets that have not chosen one.
- Harsh Braking events show their coaching tip in Coaching Review on a phone.
- The Driver Performance Reports tab opens on a phone.
- The Open Tasks Report lists each driver once across pages.
- Opening a deleted driver's profile shows "Driver not found".
Reports
- The Installations report lists each installed device once across pages.
- The Vehicle GeoFence Report, its CSV download and scheduled reports list each event once across pages.
Ask Lytx
- Ask Lytx returns every driver requested when asked to list drivers.
- Ask Lytx returns the full list of fault codes requested.
Fuel
- Fuel card assignments can be edited and deleted.
Across the App Portal
- Forgot Password works for users whose most recently used organization is disabled.
- Users with the User role or a custom role can save their Language and Map Style choices.
- Dashboard donut charts show their total in the center.
- The sidebar displays correctly for users who have a profile photo.
Public API
- GET /safety returns each safety event once when paging.
- POST /drivers returns a 400 error with a clear message when a field is invalid.
- PATCH /safety/bulk-assign-driver returns a 400 error for a non-numeric event ID and processes a repeated ID once.
